0% balance transfers

0% balance transfers are the Credit Card companies way of stealing you from a rival. They normally charge a 2% to 3% 'admin' fee for the pleasure of switching. 0% balance transfers if used correctly can be an excellent way of paying your bills off quickly. If you do use a 0% balance transfer offer to settle an existing Credit Card bill, it is best to cut the new card up on arrival.

If you have a good credit record, you can usually switch over to another Credit Card provider with a 0% period.
